    2. really? come on. Serena has been secretly in love with Nate this WHOLE time? I know these books are not great literature and they are not exactly deep, but I think the author is just grabbing at plot lines as though they are straws. it seems a bit ridiculous that even the reader has never heard an internal monologue of Serena's "realization" until the 10th book. plus wasn't it two books ago that Serena and Nate were "together"? and she never had a chance to say "i love you"? another annoyance is [...]

    3. Uses the f-word in every part of speech. No, just five of them. I don't think you can use it as a preposition or conjunction. Cardboard characters that drink, smoke, get high, and wallow in mean-spirited hatred. Not funny, not entertaining. Contrary to von Ziegesar's belief, most teens are living, breathing, feeling people filled with hope and good will, trying to figure the world out.

    4. A shocked and annoying story called “Gossip Girl” written by” Cecily von Ziegesar ”.Is about a teenager that tells you all about her life and what is happening, but the things that she tells you is kind of not that important and whenever she tells and you don’t want to know she still tells you everything and you don’t want a teenager that spoils everything, well I don’t.

    5. *SPOILS*not that anyone cares.Just to add some insult to injury from my last reviewThe thing that bothered me the most in this book (and I now realized bothered me in the other books, too) is how no one can ever finish anything they start a relationship, a job, a punishment (Nate was supposed to go to rehab for six months, lasted a few weeks. Nate was supposed to help his coach with his house, and go to AA meetings (which they didn't even mention, so I can only presume he didn't go at all (class [...]

    6. How I Came To Read This Book: Twofold. One, after reading the prequel, I sort of missed the series and was sad I never read the final two books. Two, I discovered the sequel that follows up on the characters in their college years and got nostalgic. Not wanting to ruin the end of the series for myself, I got the final two books and the sequel so I could be fully up to speed. The Plot: The guys and gals of the Upper East Side are officially graduated, and herein lies a brief glimpse of how they [...]

    7. Everyone has graduated (except for Nate who is working at his Coach's Hampton house). Blair and Serena have these weird European twins flown in by Bailey Winter who end up trying to take over their spotlight from the fashion campaign B & S were muses for. Vanessa had started babysitting in the last book, but in this book she leaves after coming to the Hamptons. She comes back to the city to find Dan exploring his sexuality with a guy named Greg (coworker at The Strand). This happens in a dru [...]

    8. I kind of love this one, but ONLY because I'm a huge sucker for Nate/Blair. But, oh, it made me so mad. Blair, Serena and Nate escape a lousy summer in the Hamptons with a sexually-charged road trip. Nate is intent on winning Blair back, and Blair is intent on playing it cool (for once). Serena is intent on trying not to think too hard about why all of this bothers her so much.Nate finally tells Blair that he loves her, and it's completely fantastic. It's really, totally and completely satisfyin [...]

    9. 2.5 / 5 stars ratingThis review is also posted at cabezadecrecre.wordpress/Nothing had changed and yet everything had. That thought made her unexpectedly sad.Yet again, repetition strikes this muddled series (Gossip Girl even admits it in the quote above). While this series has never been spectacular, it was at least interesting in the beginning to catch a glimpse at how the 1% live. Now, though, we can’t seem to get past old plot lines. These characters never really grow or develop, making my [...]

    10. I couldn't really pay attention in this one because it wasn't that interesting. It was basically the same concept but slightly different surroundings. The only difference is Dan might be gay or bisexual and Nate finally confesses his love to Blaire. Oh but wait! Serena is really upset because surprise surprise SHE is in love with Nate and decides to write him a letter about it. Do you think Nate even read the letter? Of course not. Blaire did. So there goes that temporarily happy threesome. Oh a [...]

    11. Ugh, shut up. This was so uninteresting. I'm not interested in who it was that designed Serena's sundress. I couldn't care less how many vacation homes the neighbors have. What color would be perfect for the girls' manicure?? To say this book was shallow would be a terrible understatement. I prefer books with heart. This book kind of depressed me- I felt sorry for the characters! It's depressing to realize that people live lives so meaningless. I may not have a summer home in the Hamptons, but I [...]

    12. This is my favorite book in the series. Maybe as a big Serena&Nate fan it has something to do with Serena's big love letter to Nate in the ending. But I still think this is the best book of the series in the way it's written and the story in it.

    13. Summer time, summer flies, and does it ever! It is already July and with only one month left until our little rich kids go off to their Ivy schools! The perfect time for another summer fling, some late night parties, and spending the whole day in bed (hopefully not alone). For some, summer is the best time of the year, for others it is the worst. Yet no matter what summer is always better when it is spent with your friends. After all, that is what summer (especially this one) is about! The last [...]

    14. Everyone seems to be up to something! Nate is still working for Coach in the Hampton's but is Coach's wife making a pass at him? Blair and Serena are also in the Hampton's working for fashion enthusiast, Bailey Winter as his inspiration for a new line but he's also hired some doppelgangers to copy anything and everything Blair and Serena do. Blair is very suspicious of them and she's not wrong. Vanessa is still a nanny and is asked to go with the family to the Hampton's. Seems like the Hampton's [...]

    15. In 'Would I Lie To You', the Upper East Siders spend their summer vacation having tons of fun while looking like they just stepped out of a fashion magazine. Amidst the fun in the sun and water, this vacation marks the beginning as well as the ending of some relationships. Will the Nate / Serena / Blair love triangle be resolved? Will Vanessa and Dan ever get back together? The same old love triangle was simply tiresome mainly because it was repetitive just like it was in the previous installment [...]

    16. Honestly I think this is the worst book of the whole series, until now. Very few stuff happens and there are several plot holes (view spoiler)[- like what about the two B and S look-a-likes? What about their """job"""? And Vanessa suddenly leaving the nanny job? Also Nate quits his summer job at his coach house, seems nothing happens and abruptly this story pops up again at the end of the book? I get that the book seems to cover like a week or less, but everything seems so unresolved.I won't tal [...]

    17. My Original Post Warning: SPOILERS!Hello Dear Readers! And Happy Lazy Sunday!I'm at Scruff's this weekend but I thought I would break up the monotony of my weekend with one of the book reviews I promised you in this post. As most of you know, I was a huge fan of the Gossip Girl television series and I had been wanting to read the books. Well, I finally got a hold of them and started reading them at the end of January. I finished up book 11 recently and am finally ready to write out the review. A [...]

    18. The author of this book(gossip girl would I tell a lie to you)Cecily, she has had much better books than this, this book is not what I thought is was going Be it was a little sad but it made me mad when I found out the two people were in love and one friend almost ruined the whole thing you have to read the rest to find out what happens.I wish there was a movie to compare this book to so than I could just see what types of thing are different or similar . At first I didn’t like the beginning bu [...]

    19. Serena and Blair become fashion muses for famous designer Bailey Winter. Upon arriving, they discover that he has hired two foreign models to imitate their every move. But the fakes get sick of being Blair and Serena's lackies so they start to pull little tricks that turn out to be harmful. Serena and Blair play a prank on the two girls which involves all of them getting naked, but Nate, who lives next door, catches Serena and Blair in the nude. Serena wants Nate's attention, but he only has eye [...]

Would I Lie To You wirklich einfach besser. Vier Sterne sind für chick-lit ziemlich [...]

    22. I think this was definitely one of the best gossip girl books in the whole series!!It's exciting how things all played outin the end. Book 11 should be interesting, not only because of all the cliffhangers but because it's the final book in the series! WOW it better be BIG. (I just bought it in a used book shop today it's significantly big for a GG book.)In this book there weren't any chapters about Jenny! :'( I also complained about that in my review for GG book #9 however there was an occasion [...]

    23. This book was great and I read it really quickly. Serena and Blair headed down to the Hamptons to Bailey's winter's house. They were his new muses and they were his inspiration for his summer and winter collection. When they arrived they found two look a likes that were going to be modeling the clothes. They found the look a likes were out to get them and they played a few little of dirty tricks right back at them. They then ran away to the city with Nate, and Blair and Nate got back together at [...]

    24. I'm obsessed with the Gossip Girl books! I've actually never seen the TV show but I am contemplatinggetting the first season on Netflix! This is the one I just finished a couple days ago! Here's What It's All About:It's summer! Theyve graduated (well except good old Natie!) and it no fun in the sun in (where else?!) the Hamptons! The infamous twosome (Serena and Blair) are residing at the established fashion designer, Bailey Winters house, serving their muse duties! But not for long! After two c [...]

    25. You can expect the usual realistic and sloppy portrayal of the teenage mind in this hot installment. Gossip Girl continues to cater to its audience–light, juicy, fashionable and fast reads that leave you giggling a little bit to yourself. It’s dizzily trashy and that’s what makes it dazzling. Yes, it is the perfect summer treat for those who want to kick back, lose themselves in luxury and drama.Summer lives on as the drama reaches an all time high in Would I Lie To You? the second to last [...]

    26. Reviewed by Taylor Rector for TeensReadTooThis is the tenth installment of GOSSIP GIRL, the wildly popular and very scandalous series with the kind of characters that you know you want to hate but can't. Just because they are who they are! Serena van der Woodsen, Blair Waldorf, and Nate Archibald are still caught in their never-ending love triangle. Serena and Blair were hanging out at Bailey Winter's house as his "inspiration" until they get fed up with the annoying look alike "Eurotrash" model [...]
