A good insight into the ministry of JP2 as a bishop in Poland, how he sees the roles of the clergy, etc For those of us who love JP2's philosophical stuff, this book is not as meaty as his encyclicals. A simply written book full that well illustrates his responsibilities and the pastoral care he has for his flock.


    4. A little too wordy for me. The person ready the book has a slight accent. I struggles through listening to some of it.



    5. What a special experience to read a book written by a man now known as Saint John Paul. I loved the simple, but clear language in which the late Pope wrote about his experiences as Archbishop of Cracow. The apparent simplicity masks some profound learnings and the insights given to life and faith in mid 20th century Poland are fascinating.
